USMC Combat Photographer Sgt. Frank Lee at Gio Linh 1967 just before a the Platoon he was with was ambushed by a North Vietnamese unit. Half of the platoon were killed and Lee was wounded in the head but managed to take control after the Commander was wounded and Radio man killed, calling in artillery and sir strikes on his position to keep the NVA form a total victory. Sgt. Lee received the Bronze Star with V for his actions.
